TGOD Mobil online tournament series: 10 tournaments on KGS in November
The Turkish Go Association is holding 10 online tournaments on KGS throughout November. Games will be played in the Turkish Room on KGS; registration, pairings, result reporting and standings will run in TGOD Mobil. The tournaments are free and open to everyone.
Taking part in these tournaments, staying in for the whole tournament and using the app carefully are extremely important for developing TGOD Mobil and finding its errors. From 2027, TGOD Mobil will be used in TGOD tournaments, and it is vital that the app’s development is completed before a possible error appears during a real tournament. Every error can be reported, with a screenshot if possible, in the tournament’s chat room or via Settings › App Info & Support in the app.
The tournaments are played on 9×9 and 13×13 boards with fast time: on 9×9, 5 minutes + 5 × 10 seconds byo-yomi over 5 rounds; on 13×13, 10 minutes + 5 × 20 seconds byo-yomi over 4 rounds. Games are played without handicap under Japanese rules, komi 0.5. The tournaments are unrated and are not reported to the EGD.

- Thursday 19 November, 20:30 – 13×13
- Tuesday 24 November, 21:00 – 9×9
- Thursday 26 November, 21:00 – 9×9
- Sunday 29 November, 15:00 – 13×13
The winner of each tournament will get free entry to the 2026 Alpar Kılınç Memorial Go Tournament at the end of December. Participants also earn activity points in TGOD Mobil for registering and for wins.
To take part, install TGOD Mobil from the App Store or Google Play and verify your account, then open the tournament in the Calendar, tap “Register Now” and enter your KGS username. A KGS account can be opened for free at gokgs.com. You will also get a reminder notification from the app on each tournament day.
